Do you shoot digital or regular film?
I guess I'm old-fashioned when it comes to photography. I shoot regular 35mm film. However, I do use Photoshop a.k.a the 'digital darkroom', for post-processing work.

Are you a professional photographer?
Assuming that a professional is someone who earns an income based on this craft, no, I'm not a professional photographer. I'm an engineer by profession. Photography is a hobby.

When did you start shooting?
Well, I shot my first roll with my Dad's old Yashica Electro-35 GTN back in 1989. I was 14 at that time and didn't really know much about photography. 13 years later, I started shooting again in 2002 with my newly acquired Nikon N80.

I need positive critique on my photographs. Where do I go?
Ah! There are plenty of places out on the web. I personally turn to the
Nikonians website (http://www.nikonians.org) when I need help or critique. It is a great place to learn and contribute to.

You seem to photograph a lot of children. Why is that?
It's simple. I love children. Capturing the little angels on film is quite a challenge. It's amazing what you can learn from children; spontaneous photography with the right technique happens to be one of them.

What is your favorite film?
In the color-reversal category, I love Fuji Velvia 50 and Fuji Provia 100. As for color-negative films, I like Fuji Reala; and for B&W work, Kodak TCN400 has worked well for me. Please remember that these are my personal perferences and should not be read as advice.

I need to buy a digital camera. What do you recommend?
I personally cannot provide a recommendation as I rarely work with digital cameras. What I do recommend is that you read various consumer reviews available on the web and also get a physical 'feel' for the camera at a local store before deciding on a particular make.
