Soon!
Long overdue, and hopefully published (exclusively) here on Gemify, will
be a little article that will attempt to address the following questions,
focusing on Christian marriage.
What is the intent and purpose of
a marriage, especially in the Christian context? In other words, what does Christ
expect out of this marriage between a woman and a man?
In this age of online divorce
filings, is a still possible to keep a marriage? What insight does the Bible
provide when it comes to holding a marriage together?
Different people have different
definitions of what a successful marriage is. What kind of a marriage would Christ
look upon and say "This, is a successful marriage." ?
What does the Bible teach us
about dealing with loss of a spouse, coping with the resulting grief and moving
on? What guidelines does the Bible provide for "moving on"?
The world now is not only
progressively accepting, but also encouraging of tolerance towards alternative
family lifestyles such as the single-parent, same-sex, polyamorous and polygamous
families, among others. What are the Bible's views (especially rules and tolerance-level
guidelines etc) with regard to these alternative family arrangements?
Infidelity is known to have caused
havoc in, and in many cases, wrecked, families altogether. Infidelity can be very
trying especially if the affected person is a Believer. What does the Bible teach
us about dealing with infidelity in a marriage?
The Bible tells us that a woman
and a man coming together in marriage are not to be unequally yoked. However, it also
tells us that a marriage is meant to be for a lifetime. What are Biblical guidelines
for living with an unbeliever spouse if life somehow turns out such?
